Since its early days, Hitachi Energy has been a consistent participant at InnoTrans, the leading international trade fair for transport technology. In an evolving and dynamic environment, the company’s commitment to providing efficient and reliable transformer solutions to support industry and society remains unwavering.

"Our commitment to innovation and sustainability ensures that our transformer solutions lead the way in the rail industry's development. Transformers consume less energy, deliver more uptime, and offer the lowest cost of ownership”, said Paolo Castangia, Global Segment Leader Railways in the Transformer Business.

This year, Hitachi Energy is showcasing a broad portfolio of its reliable and efficient transformer solutions. The products are innovatively presented using holographic displays, virtual reality experience, and digital applications. Throughout the week, transformer product experts will provide deeper insights into various technologies for railway, rail infrastructure, and transformer service applications during in-booth theater sessions.

Among the solutions on display are the innovative transformers with Transient Voltage Protection technology (TVP®) and the RESIBLOC® Rail onboard traction transformers, a constructive technology celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.

The Scott-connected and V-connected transformers to power the railway system in India were presented in a stunning ceremony with luminous holographic displays, creating a lasting memory for all attendees and complementing the various initiatives hosted on site.

The groundbreaking ceremony was followed by a session where Ilario Scian, Global Product Manager of Industrial and Specialty Transformers, presented how these products positively impact users. He emphasized how the project with Indian Railways has enabled the development of a solution that not meets the needs of a complex infrastructure system like India's and is also driver for the country's progress.

The Scott and V-connected transformers have numerous benefits, from reducing the CO2 emissions associated with transformers by up to 30 percent to helping the local community by allowing more and faster trains and reducing travel time for commuters and freight.

By addressing the critical challenges faced by the railway sector, Hitachi Energy's Scott-connected and V-connected transformers are driving a new era of rail transportation in India.

With a focus on efficiency, reliability, and sustainability, these benefits are a testament to the power of co-creation and partnership.

Hitachi Energy is on a mission to help the mobility sector around the globe get smarter, cleaner, and faster. We provide solutions that help our customers achieve their sustainability goals while giving communities the energy to move.
