Alistair Dormer replaces Yoshihiko Kawamura, Executive Vice President and Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Hitachi, Ltd., who has been key in supporting the "Hitachi Energy 2030 Plan", Hitachi Energy's Purpose driven profitable and sustainable growth and development plan. Yoshihiko Kawamura continues in his role within Hitachi, Ltd.
Alistair Dormer was Chair of the Hitachi Energy Board previously. He has a deep understanding from the global stage, combined with insights from across the Hitachi Group that will add a valuable perspective to support Hitachi Energy's continued business growth.
Hitachi Energy today also announced the appointment of new Directors to the Hitachi Energy Board: Shashank Samant, Chairman of the GlobalLogic Board; Akihide Hirao, CFO of Green Energy & Mobility Sector Strategy Planning Division of Hitachi, Ltd. and Stephen Pierce, HR of Green Energy & Mobility Sector; Deputy Managing Director and Chief Human Resources Officer of Hitachi Europe Ltd, who will contribute with deep knowledge and expertise. The new Directors of the Board replace Duncan Hawthorne, Director; Ryuichi Otsuki, Director; and Timo J. Ihamuotila, Director; who all contributed with extensive industry experience and great engagement in supporting the sustainable growth of the Hitachi Energy business.
